Debashree Mukherjee
Debashree Mukherjee teaches film and media at Columbia University. Born in Kolkata in 1981, Debashree lived, studied, and worked across India till 2009 when she moved to the US to earn a doctorate degree at New York University. Her articles on Bombay cinema and film history have been published in various journals and anthologies. From 2004 to 2007 Debashree worked full-time in Mumbai's film and TV industries. Her book Bombay Hustle is partly inspired by this experience.
